An Ocean Full Of Thanks

I'm sharing a card today that's a little out of my comfort zone primarily because the color theme is darker than I normally use. Also I used quite a few die cut shapes that I normally don't use.

I first die cut the cover-up window frame with white cardstock. The background pattern paper came as a part of the Hero Arts card kit along with the mermaid stamp set. Similarly the card kit came with coral die and different kinds of sea weed dies. I die cut these ocean elements first on watercolor paper then colored them with Daniel Smith watercolor. I also colored the mermaid with watercolor. For the shaker components, I used mostly clear beads with a little bit of sparkle sequins. Finally I assembled all the shaker frames and background, and adhered them to a piece of grey cardstock.

I'm submitting this card to the following challenges.

Supplies used in this card:
  • Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kits May 2017 release (HA)
  • MFT Gift box cover-up die-namics (MFT)
