Mermaid Day and Night Scenes

I have been keeping an eye on Hero Arts' My Monthly Hero Kits for a long time. While they are always with great values and great designs, it is too much luxury for me to subscribe. This time in May, they released a beautiful kit that I simply couldn't resist. I knew they are usually sold out very quickly, typically on the same day they are released. I ordered them in the middle of work!

Here's a glance at all the supplies that come with the kit.

For my first cards using the kit, I used Copic markers to create two different scenes for the same mermaid. As always, I loved creating starry night scenes. When I finished one and showed to my husband, he suggested that this mermaid would fit into a sunrise/sunset scene very well. Neither of the scenes I have tried with Copics befgore, I thought it would be a good idea to learn new techniques.

I'm submitting this card to the following challenges.
